MailChimp Double Opt-In Process
Let’s understand the Double Opt-In Process. Contact Form 7 MailChimp Extension features a ‘Double opt-in’ option to provide your subscribers a means to confirm their subscription to your Mailchimp.com mailing list.
You can turn on the ‘Double opt-in’ option in the plugin settings by activating the check-box provided as in the screenshot bellow:
Once you activated the ‘Double opt-in’ option, your new subscribers will receive in their email inbox an ‘opt-in confirmation email‘ and a link to confirm their subscription.
The confirmation email contains a unique URL that your subscriber must click to be added to your list. Customize the text and design of the email to match your organization’s branding and style.
Optionally, you can turn on the Final welcome email option provided inside your MailChimp.com mailing list settings – screehshot below:
These are the basics of the double opt-in process.
