Full-Stack Software Developer — Orlando, FL

I am Renzo Johnson, a full-stack software developer based in Orlando, Florida. I build WordPress plugins, WooCommerce stores, React interfaces, and native mobile apps. In short, if it runs on a screen, I can build it.

What I Build as a Full-Stack Software Developer

My primary focus is the WordPress ecosystem: performant software that solves real business problems.

  • WordPress Plugins

    Chimpmatic & friends

My most popular project connects Contact Form 7 submissions directly to Mailchimp audiences using the official API — merge field mapping, double opt-in, tagging, groups, and GDPR consent.

    50,000+ active WordPress installations

  • WooCommerce Stores

    Storefronts that convert

Custom WooCommerce builds for clients who need more than a default theme. Every store prioritizes speed, accessibility, and clean code — storefronts that load fast and convert visitors into customers.

  • React & Mobile

    Dashboards & apps

React-based dashboards and admin interfaces for SaaS products — and I am expanding into native mobile development for iOS, macOS, and Android. The right tool on the right platform.

Technologies and Tools

My daily toolkit — everything from database schema design to pixel-perfect front-end implementation.

  • PHP
  • JavaScript
  • TypeScript
  • React
  • MySQL
  • Redis
  • Nginx
  • Docker
  • WordPress REST API
  • WP-CLI
  • WooCommerce

How I Work

I am a Content Management System evangelist. However, I can build a static site for clients who require one. I offer the best balance of ease and control with WordPress, but I am skilled with a long list of CMSes to suit different needs. In particular, I focus on writing maintainable, standards-compliant code that other developers can pick up and extend.

Furthermore, I enjoy collaborating with smart people on challenging projects. I have traveled extensively to many parts of the world and revel in learning from different people and cultures. In fact, that curiosity drives how I approach every project — with fresh eyes and no assumptions.

When I am not concentrating on code, I work on Cnvrse, a live chat plugin that connects WordPress sites to Telegram, Slack, and Discord. I also enjoy photography, home mixology, and I write regularly about code, life, and things that make me happy.

Have a project in mind?

Most importantly, I care about shipping software that works reliably for real users. If you have a project that needs a developer who thinks beyond the code, I am available and ready to help.
